• Does it hurt and how long will it take?

  Anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment to ease any discomfort, and an anaesthetic gel is used after the skin is broken. For lip blending and full lip colour, a local dentist will provide a dental block at client's cost. Before the treatment, a consultation will be conducted and can take up to one hour. The procedure itself continues for one to two hours, depending on the treatment. Adjustments, if needed, are carried out four to eight weeks after the initial appointment. If clients require a more intense colour for the full lip treatment a second treatment can be organised.

• Do I have a choice of colours?

  Definitely! There is a wide choice of colours and shades. Colours can be mixed, darkened or lightened to achieve a soft and natural look, or a more glamorous look.

• How is it done?

  The procedure is performed using a pen-like machine or tattooist gun with sterile, disposable needles and parts. Non-allergenic colours are implanted just underneath the skin. These colours are manufactured specifically for use on the face, and are deigned to compliment your natural skin tones.

• How long will it last and are there any side effects?

  Lasting effects vary according to the colour implanted, your skin type and cell renewal. Tattooing always looks darker and bolder just after the treatment and will take about a week to gradually fade into a natural shade. As a general rule, the darker the colour, the longer it lasts. Certain darker colours will be visible for up to ten years. Lip colour can be reassessed after approximately four weeks. Slight swelling and faint bruising on the eyelids may appear after the treatment. These side effects will disappear within a couple of days.

• What do I need for after care?
